Software
When this blog was first set up on 23 August 2023, it ran on version 1.6.0 ClassicPress, a fork of WordPress 4.9. Today it’s running ClassicPress 1.7.1. It will probably run on future versions of ClassicPress, too. Two WordPress plugins are used; the first is Modern Footnotes, which provides the snazzy footnotes you’ll see all over the place here, the second is Vaughn, which adds up this blog’s total word count and displays the number in the sidebar.
Until 9 September 2023, this blog used the old-school WordPress default theme formerly known as Kubrick, which was fun while it lasted. As of 11 September 2023, this blog uses a custom theme called Blogging Here based on the Underscores skeleton theme.

Unless stated otherwise, all original material on this blog, or any of my social media accounts including Mastodon, Twitter (which I’m no longer on,) and Letterboxd, is © me, Alex Daily in perpetuity to the extent allowed under Dutch and European copyright law. Unauthorised reproduction of that material may, on a case-by-case basis, be treated as an infringement of my legal rights.
No writing or images generated by a generative large language model or text-to-image generator will ever appear here, and nobody will ever have my consent or permission to train either of those or any similar technology on anything that appears here or in any other context associated with me in any way.
